art is super important to me. i've been drawing for as long as i can remember, and though i'm definitely not the best artist in the world, i've developed enough skill to be proud of my work. plus, i honestly just really love creating. scroll down to see a little bit of what i've created.
i've been drawing a few different pieces that are based off of songs that represent different parts of my life.
the first one starts at the beginning. when my mom found out she was pregnant with me, she played the song "with arms wide open" by creed to my dad. my parents are a huge part of why i love music so much, so i had to include them in this drawing to start the series.
one of the first artists that i remember listening to and falling in love with is coldplay. i was obsessed with their music when i was little (and still am today), and they're a big part of what led me to loving music so much.
today, the song "yellow" by coldplay is regaining popularity on the internet with people stating what their "yellow" is, someone or something that they love. seeing all the
i went to my first concert when i was ten. a lot of my friends' first concerts were ones that their parents dragged them along to with artists who they didn't even know the name of (or, concerts that i brought them to). i was lucky enough for my first concert to be p!nk, one of the coolest musicians there is.
ever since then, i've been to a countless amount of concerts, with both friends and famil
my favorite artist (up until i discovered shawn mendes) was always gavin degraw. he was kind of the first musician that i liked not because my parents liked him but just because i did. one of my favorite songs by him, "best i ever had," is the song i based this piece off of.
i had gone to several of his concerts before but when i was in 7th grade, after one of them, he came back on stage and chatt
i used to live in ohio, and the summer before my senior year of high school, my parents and i moved across the country to california. this painting is based off of that road trip, of me "going home," and the song "canyon moon" by harry styles, which i thought was a good song to describe both this trip and my general love for traveling anywhere.
i'll add more art soon! meanwhile, head on over to my instagram to see some of my drawings :)
